Hunter- Twin Loss Session

Photo to represent the loss of a twin

Hunter was not always a single baby. He was born a twin. Hunter and his brother Atticus were born when they were just 28weeks gestation. They fought a hard battle and sadly Atticus grew his angel wings just a few weeks before Hunter was declared healthy enough to return home. I had the honour of photographing Atticus’s funeral. Just a few weeks later I got to meet Hunter. What a happy and sweet little man. We were able to create some images that represent his brother. You will be able to see a small blue butterfly in all of his images. This represents Atticus. When a twin loses their sibling nurses will often put a little butterfly on their crib to represent that loss. We replicated that here. One special photo his Mum and Dad requested was that of Atticus’s teddy. We managed to get Hunter to hug his brother’s teddy and this will forever mean something special for his family.
